Learn about the incredibly harsh and horrific conditions that workers endured in what was an original hostel, built in 1958 with the establishment of Lwandle. Now mostly a residential area, the remaining block was opened as a museum on Workers’ Day in 2000 by poet and ex-resident Sandile Dikeni. You can meet members of the community as well as see the whole township on a guided walk.
