Pitstop Lodge @ The Grille Shack on Clarence Drive

The decor of the first three of twelve Pitstop Lodge Cabins to launch has a funky petrolhead vibe. This continues the octane-in-my-vein theme of this new destination on world-famous Clarence Drive.

The cabins are cheekily called Wolseley, Morris, and Austin, whilst some of the retro furnishings celebrate a bygone era. The attention to detail is sure to delight the most discerning guest.

Furnished and well-appointed to the highest standard, our three cabins, each offer accommodation for two in a private cabin suite. As an extra, a quality sleeper couch is available to accommodate a young child (five to ten years), or two toddlers younger than five.

Snuggle up at the indoor fireplace or hunker down on your private deck in our signature Strawberry Daiquiri Adirondack Chairs. Incidentally, these iconic chairs, designed by Thomas Lee, are totally #instaworthy and perfect for a romantic sundowner.

There is so much to discover in this area using Pitstop Lodge as a base. Soak in the views of dramatic mountain ranges, while surrounded by pristine fynbos. Hike up into Krystal pools, the Danie Miller Trail or explore the Harold Porter Botanical Gardens hiking trail. Take a leisurely drive along Clarence Drive, voted the most scenic whale route in the world. Pop in at Lemon & Lime Deli in Pringle Bay, followed by selfies at the Kleinmond Harbour Development, before visiting the Stony Point Penguin Colony in Betty’s Bay. Or bring your surfboard and tame a “Bomb” at legendary Kogelbay.

After exploring the local ‘hood, it will be quite stressful to make a choice between taking an indoor or an outdoor shower in your private garden courtyard. So perhaps raid the well-stocked minibar, which is offered on the “Pay as you go Model” whilst you make up your mind.

The Big Daddy Ribs or Double Trouble Burger is definitely the way to go.
