The Yard-Urban Farmstyle Accommodation

The Yard is a farm-style home with different unit types situated on a spacious property in Gordon’s Bay. Each unit is separate and it is ideal in this time of social distancing. It is only a 5-minute walk to the beach and views of the beautiful mountains form part of our charm. The Yard is close to a few shopping centers and numerous quaint little restaurants. The Main House is occupied by the owners who manage the property.

The Yard has a unique edge in having different types of units available. It is a spacious property with enough safe parking behind gates and has a view on the beautiful mountains that almost surround it. Konrad and Marinda has used an innovative rustic style that resembles some of the farm life where he grew up in Namibia. The Cottage is a self-catering unit with 2 beds with a lovely outside barbecue area.  Has a Super King Size bed and sleeper couch and can sleep up to 4 people.  BITS is a bedroom with an on-suite bathroom.  Has a double bed and sleeps 2 people.  The Vine is a bedroom with an on-suite bathroom. Entrance is on a spacious veranda. Has 2 single beds and sleeps 2 people. Katze dormitory is an upcycled parkhome with 4 beds (bunkbeds) and can sleep 4. This room could be shared with other travellers as these are booked by bed. Bathroom and toilet are just outside the dorm. All the rooms are fitted out wit a kettle and coffee/tea tray.  Group bookings of up to 12 people can be accommodated in which case The Cottage will be the self-catering area for the group.

The Yard offers ample safe parking behind locked gates. Please make prior arrangements if bringing a trailer or your pets. We can accommodate groups of up to 12 people. Groups must have a minimum stay of 2 nights and will cater for themselves from The Cottage.

Please Note that there are NO TV’s at The Yard. We encourage family bonding time and getting to know each other and the beautiful surroundings better.
